I</div> <div> played on two championship teams(1977, 1979). There are too</div> <div> many great memories to list. But this one comes to mind,</div> <div> Maplewood (a couple schools were combined to form Maplewood I</div> <div> think in 1974) had never lost a game and had not been scored</div> <div> on much. We played them in 1977 and were losing the game,</div> <div> when I recovered a fumble. Valley took that ball and scored</div> <div> to pull out the win and stay unbeaten. We went on to win the</div> <div> CCL championship with a 9-0 record. I think that was the</div> <div> last Valley team to go unbeaten and untied in a season. </div> <bR> </tD> </tR> <tR> <tD VALIGN=TOP HEIGHT= 125 WIDTH="454"><div> Name: Dustin Schweitzer</div> <bR> <div> Comments: My greatest memory was in 10th grade and playing football.</div> <div> During the Conneaut Lake game I started Varsity and had two</div> <div> sacks. That year was the best of my life. There was about 7 secs left and I was</div> <div> the strong side D-End we had to stop them to win the game but</div> <div> right when I felt like I could do no more to help win this</div> <div> game Derek King looked at me with a smile and said "One Punch</div> <div> Hedrick, One Punch" that fired me up so much for some odd</div> <div> reason. We came out with the W 13-12. When Justin Zazado ran across the football field during</div> <div> half time in his Incredible Hulk costume </div> <bR> <bR> <div> Zazado your the man! </div> <bR> </tD> </tR> <tR> <tD VALIGN=TOP HEIGHT= 334 ><NOBR><div> Chuck Broad</div> <bR> <div> It was homecoming....( not sure the year but about 1992 )the</div> <div> Queen had been announced ..the players were all on the</div> <div> field..the Referee marked the ball to be kicked...Shane</div> <div> Peterson was back to receive the ball for Valley...the ball</div> <div> is kicked and in the air as the announcer says.."..and the</div> <div> Homecoming King is ...Shane Peterson...The ball comes down in</div> <div> to Shane's arms..he sprints forward and is hit hard around</div> <div> the thirty yard line but maintains his balance somehow..hit</div> <div> again around the forty and almost goes down but wills self to</div> <div> stay on his feet..only to be clobbered around the fifty yard</div> <div> line...but again he fights to maintain his momentum and</div> <div> balance. Now free, he sprints downfield but one last defender</div> <div> hits him low..he staggers forward and again somehow regains</div> <div> his balance and >>>Scores.
